If you desire to have a tangible musical object to hold in your hands then this is for you. I used one of the most environmental printers I could find. I took time designing it with my partner as for me the object/cd is an important part of the finished work. It includes a full lyric booklet too, one thats a readable size :)

about

I wrote this song after reading about the Iolaire disaster. A tragedy that struck the isle of Lewis in 1919. In the early hours of the morning a ship filled with men returning home after the end of World War One crashed just off the coast a mile away from Stornaway harbour.

Over 200 men died whilst family watched helpless from the shore. 82 survived of which 40 where brought to shore by a single individual John F. Macleod. Though he is not a direct relative he lived close to my family on Lewis.

lyrics

When the morning comes
And the night its gone
And I watch the bay for your ship to come home
And I wait for you stand on the shore
See the light and then no more

Lay me down
Down to rest
I wont take another breath
Lay me down down to rest
I wont take another breath

I watch the morning boat come in
I see your ship and then it sinks
And I wait for you
Stand on the shore
You don’t come home

Lay me down down to rest
I wont take another breath
Lay me down down to rest
I wont take another breath
